Understanding Culture and traditions is not always a library research chore. In fact, it can be fun. Like what YANA Adventures are currently doing, they had set up an entertaining Shanghai tour for people to join, called “Shanghai Treasure Hunt”. It is a game and tour combined in which the process helps the participants to understand the culture and daily living of simple Shanghainese, at the same time looking at slowly disappearing or evolving jobs. Luckily some of the disappearing jobs in the world are being recorded as intangible cultural heritage by various government bodies across the world.
