When mass mourning connects a nation

19th May 2008, 2:28p.m. Millions of people here in China mourn China earthquakes with Air Sirens wailing in grief. When people see this in a news, they perhaps imagine that it was just a symbolic gesture in which some will practice it, and maybe some photographs will be taken just for propaganda purpose. No, this is not the case that’s really happening in China.    

Chinese bourses and commodities exchanges also suspended trading for three minutes in remembrance of the earthquake dead.          

The three-minute remembrance is part of three-day national mourning for those who died in the 8.0-magnitude earthquake.
